SEE Maths Question Paper 2082 Koshi Province

एउटा कार्यक्रममा उपस्थित 450 जना विद्यार्थीहरूमध्ये 144 जना विद्यार्थीहरूले गणित विषय मात्र, 216 जना विद्यार्थीहरूले विज्ञान विषय मात्र मन पराउने पाइयो तर 63 जना विद्यार्थीहरूले कुनै पनि विषय मन नपराउने पाइयो ।
Among the 450 students present at the program, 144 students were found to like mathematics subject only, 216 students were found to like science subject only but 63 students were found who did not like any of these two subjects.
(a) यदि जम्मा उपस्थित सङ्ख्यालाई 'U' ले जनाइन्छ भने U को गणनात्मकता सङ्ख्या लेख्नुहोस् ।
If the total number of present is represented by 'U' then write cardinality of 'U'. (1)
(b) दिइएको जानकारीलाई भेन चित्रमा प्रस्तुत गर्नुहोस् ।
Show the given information in a Venn-diagram. (1)
(c) गणित विषय मन पराउने विद्यार्थीहरूको सङ्ख्या पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the number of students who liked mathematics subject. (3)
(d) दुवै विषय मन पराउने विद्यार्थी सङ्ख्या कुनै पनि विषय मन नपराउने विद्यार्थी सङ्ख्याभन्दा कति प्रतिशतले कम छन् ?
How much percent the number of student who liked both subjects is less than the number of students who did not like any of two subjects? (1)

कुमारले वार्षिक \(10\%\) चक्रीय व्याज पाउने हिसाबले 2 वर्षका लागि एउटा वाणिज्य वैङ्कमा रु.5,50,000 जम्मा गरे । एक वर्षपछि वैङ्कले नीति परिवर्तन गरी सोही व्याजदरमा अर्धवार्षिक चक्रीय व्याज दिने निर्णय गर्यो ।
Kumar deposited Rs.5,50,000 in a commercial bank at the rate of \(10\%\) p.a. compound interest compounded yearly for 2 years. After 1 year the bank changed its policy to pay the interest compound semi-annually at the same rate.
(a) चक्रीय व्याज भनेको के हो, लेख्नुहोस् ।
What is compound interest? Write it. (1)
(b) 2 वर्षको अन्त्यमा कुमारको खातामा जम्मा भएको रकम पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the sum of amount accumulated in Kumar's account at the end of 2 years. (2)
(c) पहिलो वर्ष र दोस्रो वर्षको व्याज तुलना गर्नुहोस् ।
Compare the interest of the first year and second year. (2)

एउटा नगरपालिकाको हालको जनसङ्ख्या 1,26,075 छ । उक्त पालिकाको वार्षिक जनसङ्ख्या वृद्धिदर \(2.5\%\) प्रति वर्ष छ ।
The present population of a municipality is 1,26,075. The annual population growth rate of the municipality is \(2.5\%\) per year.
(a) T वर्षपछिको जनसङ्ख्या निकाल्ने सूत्र लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the formula to calculate population after T years. (1)
(b) 2 वर्षअघि उक्त नगरपालिकाको जनसङ्ख्या कति थियो ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
What was the population of that municipality before 2 years? Find it. (2)
(c) यदि यो वर्ष 1075 जना विविध कारणले बसाइ सरेर अन्यत्रै जान्छन् भने अवको 1 वर्षपछिको त्यस नगरपालिकाको जनसङ्ख्या कति पुग्ला, निकाल्नुहोस् ।
If 1075 people migrate to other places due to different circumstances in this year then what will be the population of that municipality after 1 year? Find it. (1)

नेपाल राष्ट्र वैङ्कले मिति 2082/08/05 गते प्रकाशन गरेको मुद्रा विनिमयदर अनुसार अमेरिकी डलर (\$) 1 को खरिददर र बिक्रीदर क्रमशः ने.रु. 141.64 र ने.रु. 142.24 थियो ।
The exchange rate published by Nepal Rastra Bank on dated 2082/08/05 states the buying and selling rate for American dollar (\$) 1 were NRs. 141.64 and NRs.142.24 respectively.
(a) नेपाली रुपैयाँलाई अमेरिकन डलरमा साट्न वैङ्कले कुन दर प्रयोग गर्छ ? लेख्नुहोस् ।
Which rate will the bank use to exchange Nepalese rupees into American dollar? Write it. (1)
(b) ने.रु.7,96,544 सँग कति अमेरिकी डलर (\$) साट्न सकिन्छ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
How much American dollar (\$) can be exchanged with NRs.7,96,544? Find it. (1)
(c) यदि केही समयपछि नेपाली रुपैयाँ \(0.3\%\) ले अवमूल्यन भयो भने उक्त डलरलाई पुनः नेपाली रुपैयाँमा साट्दा समग्रमा कति नाफा वा नोक्सान हुन्छ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
If the Nepali rupees is devaluated by \(0.3\%\) after some time, what is the profit or loss made when the US dollar exchanged back in Nepali rupees? Find it. (2)

एउटा वर्गाकार आधार भएको पिरामिडको आधारको एउटा भुजाको लम्बाइ 20 से.मी. र छड्केको किनाराको लम्बाइ 26 से.मी. छन् ।
The length of a side of the base of a square based pyramid is 20 cm, and the length of slant edge is 26 cm.
(a) वर्गाकार पिरामिडमा जम्मा कतिओटा सतहहरू हुन्छन्, लेख्नुहोस् ।
How many total surfaces are there in a square base pyramid? Write it. (1)
(b) पिरामिडको पूरा सतहको क्षेत्रफल पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the total surface area of the pyramid? (3)
(c) पिरामिडको ठाडो उचाइ र छड्केको उचाइविच तुलना गर्नुहोस् ।
Compare between the vertical height and slant height of the pyramid. (1)

चित्रमा, समान आधार भएको एउटा सोली र एउटा अर्धगोला मिली एउटा ठोस वस्तु बनेको छ । जहाँ, ठोस वस्तुको पूरा उचाइ 20 से.मी. छ । अर्धगोलाको व्यास 14 से.मी. छ ।
In the figure, a solid object is formed with the combination of a cone and a hemi-sphere having the same base. Where, the total height of the solid object is 20 cm. The diameter of the hemi sphere is 14 cm.

(a) सोलीको आयतन पत्ता लगाउने सूत्र लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the formula to find the volume of the cone. (1)
(b) दिइएको ठोस वस्तुमा सोली भागको उचाइ पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the height of the conical part in the given solid object. (1)
(c) दिइएको ठोस वस्तुको आयतन पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the volume of the given solid object. (2)

एउटा पर्खालको लम्बाइ, चौडाइ, उचाइ क्रमशः 20 मी., 30 से.मी. र 5 मी. छ । उक्त पर्खाल बनाउन 25 से.मी. × 12 से.मी. × 5 से.मी. आकारका इँटाहरू प्रयोग गरिन्छ । साथै उक्त पर्खालको \(10\%\) भाग सिमेन्ट र बालुवाको जोनीले ओगट्छ ।
The length, breath and height of a wall are 20 m, 30 cm and 5 m respectively. The bricks of size 25 cm × 12 cm × 5 cm are used to construct the wall. Also \(10\%\) part of the wall is occupied by the joints of cement and sand.
(a) उक्त पर्खाल बनाउन कतिओटा इँटाहरू प्रयोग भएका छन् ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
How many bricks are used to construct the wall? Find it. (2)
(b) एक ट्रिपमा 2,000 इँटा ढुवानी गरिन्छ र सो वापत भाडा रु.600 लाग्छ । प्रति 1,000 इँटाको रु.13,500 को दरले उक्त पर्खाल बनाउन प्रयोग हुने इँटाको जम्मा लागत अनुमान गर्नुहोस् ।
2,000 bricks are loaded in a trip and the rent of it is Rs.600. Estimate the cost of bricks used to construct the wall at the rate of Rs.13,500 per 1,000 bricks. (2)

रमिलाले आफ्नो छोरीको नाममा खाता खोलेर कुनै सहकारीमा मासिक रूपमा समान अन्तरमा वढाउने गरी जम्मा गरेको रकमलाई निम्नानुसार तालिकामा प्रस्तुत गरिएको छ :
Ramila opened account on behalf of her daughter in a finance and the amounts deposited monthly is increased in common difference are presented below in the table.

दुई अङ्कले बनेको सङ्ख्यामा अङ्कहरूको गुणनफल 20 छ र तिनीहरूबिचको फरक 1 छ ।
In a two digit number, the product of digits is 20 and their difference is 1.
(a) दुई अङ्कले बनेको सङ्ख्याको स्तरीय रूप लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the standard form of a number of two digits. (1)
(b) उक्त सङ्ख्या पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the number. (3)

(a) सरल गर्नुहोस् । (Simplify): \(5^{\sqrt{x}} = 25\) (1)

(b) हल गर्नुहोस् । (Solve): \(2^a + 2^{-a} = 2\frac{1}{2}\) (3)

(c) सरल गर्नुहोस् । (Simplify): \(\frac{1}{p^2 - pq + q^2} - \frac{p^2 + q^2}{p^4 + p^2q^2 + q^4}\) (2)

दिइएको चित्रमा \(MN \parallel SP\), \(SM \parallel QN\) र \(MR \parallel NP\) छन् ।
In the given figure, \(MN \parallel SP\), \(SM \parallel QN\) and \(MR \parallel NP\).

(a) समानान्तर चतुर्भुज MNQS र समानान्तर चतुर्भुज MNPR को क्षेत्रफलविचको सम्बन्ध लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the relation between areas of parallelogram MNQS and parallelogram MNPR. (1)
(b) त्रिभुज SMN को क्षेत्रफल समानान्तर चतुर्भुज MNPR को आधा हुन्छ भनी प्रमाणित गर्नुहोस् ।
Prove that the area of triangle SMN is half of the area of parallelogram MNPR. (2)
(c) यदि MR र QN विन्दु A मा प्रतिच्छेदन भए चतुर्भुज SMAQ को क्षेत्रफल र चतुर्भुज PRAN को क्षेत्रफल बराबर हुन्छ भनी प्रमाणित गर्नुहोस ।
If MR and QN intersect at the point A, prove that area of quadrilateral SMAQ and area of quadrilateral PRAN are equal. (2)

केन्द्रविन्दु O भएको वृत्तमा एउटै चाप SP मा आधारित केन्द्रीय कोण SOP र परिधि कोणहरू SRP र STP रहेका छन् ।
In a circle with centre O, the central angle SOP and inscribe angles SRP and STP are standing on same arc SP.
(a) एउटै चापमा आधारित केन्द्रीय कोण र परिधि कोणविचको सम्बन्ध लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the relationship between central angle and inscribe angle standing on the same arc. (1)
(b) केन्द्रीय कोणको नाप \((x + 60)^\circ\) र परिधि कोणको नाप \((2x)^\circ\) भए \(x\) को मान पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
The measurement of the central angle is \((x + 60)^\circ\) and the measurement of the inscribe angle is \((2x)^\circ\). Find the value of \(x\). (1)
(c) परिधि कोणहरू STP र SRP बराबर हुन्छन् भनी प्रयोगात्मक रूपमा पुष्टि गर्नुहोस् । (कमतीमा 3 से.मी. अर्धव्यास भएका दुईओटा वृत्तहरू आवश्यक छन् ।)
Verify experimentally that the inscribed angles STP and SRP are equal. (Two different circles with radii of at least 3 cm are required.) (2)

त्रिभुज MNS मा \(MN = 6.5\) से.मी., \(NS = 6\) से.मी. र \(MS = 5.5\) से.मी. दिइएका छन् ।
In a triangle MNS, \(MN = 6.5\) cm, \(NS = 6\) cm and \(MS = 5.5\) cm are given.
(a) माथि दिइएको नापको आधारमा \(\triangle MNS\) को रचना गरी उक्त त्रिभुजको क्षेत्रफलसँग बराबर हुने गरी एउटा भुजा 6.8 से.मी. भएको समानान्तर चतुर्भुजको पनि रचना गर्नुहोस् ।
Construct a \(\triangle MNS\) on the basis of above measurements. Also, construct a parallelogram having one side is 6.8 cm with equal area of that triangle. (3)
(b) \(\triangle MNS\) र समानान्तर चतुर्भुजको क्षेत्रफल किन बराबर हुन्छ ? कारण दिनुहोस् ।
Why the area of \(\triangle MNS\) and parallelogram are equal? Give reason. (1)

एउटा वृत्ताकार पोखरीको व्यास 100 मिटर र यसको बिचमा एउटा खम्बा गाडिएको छ । एउटा व्यक्तिले पोखरीको किनाराबाट खम्बाको टुप्पाको उन्नताश कोण \(\theta\) पाएछ । पोखरीको गहिराइ 1.5 मिटर र खम्बाको जम्मा उचाइ 51.5 मिटर छ ।
The diameter of a circular pond is 100 m and a pillar is fixed at the centre of the pond. A person finds the angle of elevation to the top of the pillar be \(\theta\) from the bank of the pond. The depth of the pond is 1.5 m and total high of the pillar is 51.5 m.
(a) माथिको सन्दर्भ जनाउने चित्र बनाउनुहोस् ।
Draw a figure representing the above context. (1)
(b) पानीको सतहभन्दा माथि रहेको खम्बाको उचाइ कति होला ?
What is the height of the pole above the water level? (1)
(c) उन्नताश कोण \(\theta\) को मान पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the value of angle of elevation \(\theta\). (1)
(d) यदि उन्नताश कोण \(30^\circ\) भएको भए पोखरीको अर्धव्यास कति हुन्थ्यो ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
If the angle of elevation was \(30^\circ\), what would be the radius of the pond? Find it. (1)

100 पूर्णाङ्कको एउटा परीक्षामा विद्यार्थीहरूले पाप्त गरेका प्राप्ताङ्क निम्न तालिकामा दिइएको छ :
The marks obtained by students in an examination with full marks 100 are given in the following table.

एउटा वाकसमा 6 ओटा सेता र 4 ओटा काला उस्तै र उत्रै बलहरू छन् । दुईओटा बलहरू एकपछि अर्को गर्दै नहेरिकन पुनः राखेर निकालिएका छन् ।
There are 6 white and 4 black balls of same shape and size in a box. Two balls are drawn randomly one after another with replacement.
(a) यदि A र B पारस्परिक निषेधक घटनाहरू हुन भने \(P(A \cup B)\) को सिद्धान्त लेख्नुहोस् ।
If A and B are mutually exclusive events, then write the principle of \(P(A \cup B)\). (1)
(b) दिइएको घटनाको सम्भावित सबै परिणामहरूको सम्भाव्यतालाई वृक्ष चित्रमा प्रस्तुत गर्नुहोस् ।
Present the probability of all the possible outcomes of given event in a tree diagram. (2)
(c) दुवै बलहरू एउटै रङ्गका पर्ने सम्भाव्यता पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the probability of getting same coloured ball? (1)
(d) दुवै बलहरू एउटै रङ्गका पर्ने र फरक रङ्गका पर्ने सम्भाव्यताहरूविचको अनुपात पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the ratio of the probabilities of getting same coloured balls and different colored balls. (1)
